Replacing your roof is one of the largest expenses you will encounter in home ownership. How should you go about determining what needs to be done and who will do it? This page will outline some of the cares and concerns you might have. Eclipse Roofing, Inc. is all you'll ever need to know in roofing.

WHO SHOULD DO THE WORK?

• Ask people you know who have had roofing work done for referrals.
• Only deal with companies that are licensed to do work in your area.
• Require Liability and Workers Compensation insurance certificates from the companies you are getting estimates from.
• Know who you will be working with. Ask for referrals from the companies. Check the Better Business Bureau for reports on the contractor.
• Know what you are getting. Before agreeing to sign a contract get a detailed written proposal that is fully understandable to you.
• Don't let price be your only guide.

WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?

Contact each of the companies you select for an estimate. They will ask you a series of questions including how you heard about the company, if your insurance company is involved, what type of problems your currently experiencing, and what kind of shingles are on your house.

Get three estimates so you can compare prices and services. The lowest bid is not always the best; compare each step on the estimate and make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU CONTACT ECLIPSE ROOFING?

A representative will come to your home and evaluate what needs to be done. Once the evaluation is complete, your representative will prepare an estimate based on the needs of your home. Your representative will schedule a time to meet with you to present to you a bid package, explain the estimate, and answer any questions. If it is not possible to meet because of scheduling conflicts, we would be happy to drop off, fax, email or mail your estimate to you.

WHAT IS IN THE BID PACKAGE?

The bid package will contain the estimate, brochures about the materials to choose from, including photographs of styles and colors of shingles. We will also provide a sample contract, sample warranties, and insurance certificates.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DECIDE TO USE ECLIPSE ROOFING?

Contact your representative to schedule a time to sign the contract. At the signing of the contract, your representative will provide you with an estimated start date and go over what to expect during the re-roof process. The timeline will depend upon demand, weather and the availability of materials. We will tell you what to expect and when to expect it. Your representative will always be available to answer any of your questions.

IS THERE A WARRANTY?

Eclipse Roofing, Inc. warranties their workmanship for FIVE YEARS. This warranty covers you in case of workmanship defects. Eclipse Roofing is proud to offer you this warranty because we want you to be comfortable knowing that you have chosen the best roofing company in the Kansas City area. The material warranty will come from the manufacturer of the shingles you choose. Your representative will help you with the material warranty registration paperwork.
